We are happy to announce that PDF attachments now can be viewed directly within the activity description making it more convenient to access and review course materials for instructors, assistants and learners alike.
Instructors now have the ability to expand a PDF attachment, making it viewable in activity without needing to download it first. Users can easily navigate through the pages of the attachment.
Today we are releasing the first part of the new course data rule, which is the latest addition to activity rules that we launched recently. With this release, Eduflow’s activity rules take customisations of learning designs to the next level, allowing you to set up specific rules for completion and visibility on any activity or flow based on learners' answers to questions.
The new data rule allows you to set up a rule for when an activity or flow is visible to a learner based on their answers to a question – for example from a quiz or form activity. Furthermore, it allows you to set up a rule for when an activity is ready to interact with – i.e., if the activity is open and ready to complete for learners – also based on learners' answers to questions.
We currently support questions from all of the following activities, with more to come later:
We hope you'll enjoy our latest addition to activity rules! We're excited to see how you use them. We are constantly working on improving our product with new and existing features to help you to create creative and complex learning designs.
We're finally ready to reveal our new and improved activity rules. We have completely reworked how activities can be set up in order to provide you with an even more powerful set of features to design courses. You can do all of the things you were able to do before including a long list of new options. Here's what the new update includes:
The old activity settings page has been replaced with a slide-in that allows you to work faster while designing your courses. The new slide-in will stay open as you navigate between activities. If you are on a large monitor, you will be able to keep the activity settings panel open at all times allowing you to easily interact with content and settings at the same time.
The first tab in the new activity settings contains all the activity settings that you're used to. We have updated the user experience and look of activity settings to be easier and faster to interact with.
We have reworked how activity rules used to work and separated them into two different categories: completion and visibility.
You will be using completion rules to decide which activities learners can interact with. Think of them as rules that decide if an activity is locked, not open yet or ready to complete for learners. This is where you will set up rules like prerequisites and deadlines.
You also have the option to set up visibility rules that decides when a learner can see the activity in the course. Think of them as rules for when participants has access to and can see the activity in the course sidebar. This is where you will typically set up rules that only shows the activity to a subset of learners or completely hides it from them.
It might not be immediately obvious, but with this change comes a long list of new possibilities for how you can design your courses. Here are a few examples of how you can leverage the new rules to achieve things that used to not be possible in Eduflow:
We're still working on adding new features to activity rules that will give you even more power to design your learning experiences. We know that change can be hard to deal with, but we hope that this update will serve you well and that you see the potential of our new features.
We're eager (and a bit nervous) to hear what you think about these feature updates. Let us know via email or by reaching out through out in-app chat support.
Today we’re releasing one of the most requested activity types: forms! You can now create a form that learners have to submit in order to complete the activity.
The activity comes packed with 5 different question types that you can use to build your forms with:
Today, we are happy to announce a highly requested improvement to our localization feature on Eduflow to enhance the learning experience. Institution administrators now have the ability to set a default language for all learners within their institution. In addition, learners still have the option to overwrite the default language in their personal user settings. This improvement helps to ensure that all emails will be sent in the institution's default language unless the learner chooses to change it.
We hope you are happy with this latest addition to Eduflow.
Please note that access to the localization feature only is available to users on Eduflow's Pro plan or above.
We're pleased to announce learners' ability to reach out to administrators, instructors, and assistants for support directly from the user menu within Eduflow. With this new feature, learners can easily find and reach out for help and assistance directly from the Eduflow user menu, eliminating the need to search for contact information. This streamlines the process and makes it simple to connect with the right people.
For institution owners and administrators, full control is provided through Eduflow's messaging permission settings to determine which staff members are available to be contacted by learners. We believe this new feature will provide a more convenient and efficient way for learners to receive the support they need.
We have added a new setting to the instructor review activity that allows you to anonymise the list of learners when giving feedback. This will help remove bias when reviewing learner submissions.
To turn on anonymity for instructor reviews, go to the activity settings → enable "Make feedback giver anonymous".
It's important to note that this will not remove anonymity completely. As a course instructor it will always be possible to find out what feedback was given to whom by going to the Results interface and reveal reviews.
We got a lot of requests for ways to change the way embeds and SCORM files are shown in Eduflow. Today we're shipping a feature that allows you to set the aspect ratio for your embeds and SCORM modules. This gives you more flexibility when it comes to designing activities.
We've recently added the option to use variables in the custom code section and embed activities. This opens up for a few really cool things like:
You can even write logic statements using the liquid template language. Read more about how variables work in Eduflow here.
We've just made it a lot easier to preview courses in Eduflow! You can now add test learners that you can use to preview your course design with.
Open the course context menu and click Test users. In the next layer of the menu, specify how many test learners you want to add to your course. Click on
+ Add test users. If you have a Super plan or above, you have access to the Assistant role type and you will also be able to add test assistants.
ㅤ
The easiest way to impersonate test learners is from the course sidebar. Open the Test users context menu and click the test learner you want to impersonate. You will now see the current activity impersonating the selected test learner. You can now go through the course, complete activities and see how the course design works from a learner's point of view. Once you're done you can exit impersonation mode.

You can now customize Eduflow using CSS and JavaScript, giving you the ability to use the advanced theme settings to apply custom styles and behaviors throughout the entire institution 🏫. This update allows for more flexibility in branding and creating a personalized learning experience 💄
Additionally, we're happy to announce that custom page titles are now available. This means you can customize the page titles of Eduflow to better reflect your institution.
We hope these updates will help you make the most out of Eduflow and create an even better learning experience for your learners 👨👩👧👦
We are excited to announce the release of our new user properties feature, available now in Eduflow 🎉 This powerful new tool allows you to add custom properties to the participants in your institution, giving you more flexibility and an improved overview of all participants in your institution.
With user properties, you can create and assign custom attributes to users, such as their department, job role, seniority level 📊 This makes it easy to filter and group users based on these properties, allowing you to quickly and easily access the information you need.
We believe that user properties will greatly enhance your ability to manage and track learning in your institution 🚀 Try it out today and let us know what you think! 💭
Eduflow's new user property feature allows administrators and owners to customize attributes for their participants. These properties can be easily viewed in the admin participants table and can be used to tag users for better organization and filtering.
A couple of months ago we released course dashboards in Eduflow. Now this feature is also available on an institution level for all admins to create visualisations and charts to stay on tops of all that's going on in the institution! 📊
The institution dashboard is available for all customers on a Plus plan or above.
Read all about our supported visualisations and how to customise your dashboard here: https://help.eduflow.com/en/articles/6714957-institution-dashboard.
Over the past few months we've been preparing Eduflow to support translations to other languages. Today we're excited to share the first version of our this project: localisation for learners!
For customers on a Super plan or above, it's now possible to enable localisation for learners in the institution. To enable it, go to your admin panel → Settings and toggle on localisation. Now all learners in your institution will be able to set their language in user settings. We currently support English and Danish.
To read more about how localisation works in Eduflow, checkout this Help Center article: Localisation in Eduflow.
We've started small with this release, but have more things coming. If you would like to see Eduflow translated for all user types, you can upvote this feature request: Localisation for all user types. And if you would like to see another language added, you can upvote and add a comment for your request here: Languages for localisation.
We've just released a small improvement that goes a long way. You can now add content both above and below your videos, embeds or SCORM modules!
Here's a quick tip video showing how the feature works.
Today we are happy to introduce messaging in Eduflow 💬. Messaging lets any participant in an Eduflow institution or course initiate a conversation with one another. Furthermore, messaging allows for group conversations between multiple participants 👨👨👧👦. The new messaging feature is available today on all devices – from desktop to mobile 🖥 📱
In addition to the new messaging feature, we are also launching advanced messaging permission settings, which allows institution owners and admins to set up rules for which user roles are able to message each other.
To make sure that everyone sees the messages you send them, we will automatically send an email notification if people don’t see the message inside Eduflow within 5 minutes.
We've made a small, but powerful improvement to the call-to-action button on the course page. You can now update the button text and link!
All you need to do is go to your course page in edit mode, click the gear icon button next to the call-to-action button and change the copy and link.
This change now allows you to do a few cool things:
You can now change the call-to-action button link to a sales page hosted by Shopify, Gumroad or any of the many other online storefronts available. With a Zapier automation, you can set up a workflow that automatically enrolls learners once they've made a payment.
Link the call-to-action button to a form online and only invite learners into your course when they have been accepted by you.
Today we are happy to announce the new checklist activity on Eduflow. ✨ The checklist activity makes it simple for instructors to create checklists in the same intuitive interface they already know from any other activities on the platform. Create checklists in Eduflow anytime and anywhere – on the desktop or on the phone 🖥📱
The new checklist activity – plus the never-ending possibilities of combining it with any of our existing activities – is now available to you and all instructors using Eduflow. We hope you'll make good use of it! 😊
We're happy to share that we've just wrapped up one of the most requested features for Eduflow — plagiarism detection! The feature is made possible through an integration with Turnitin.
To learn more about how the integration works, visit our Help Center or reach out via support.
We've just added a new event log table to the course dashboard section. The new visualisation allows you to see when specific events like page visits, activity completions, submission edits and more have happened for all of your participants. The table is available to all customers on a Premium plan.
If you wish to only see events by a specific participant within the course, you can use the search feature to filter the events shown in the table. Simply click the search button and type in the name or email of a participant and the table will be filtered automatically.
We've just shipped some improvements to file uploads that gives added flexibility and new possibilities in Eduflow.
We've updated our rich-text editor in our discussion activity to support file uploads. We will be expanding the file upload functionality to all rich-text editors in Eduflow in the near future.
Before you had to upload all of your files into a section that would always show up at the bottom of your activity description. Now, you get to decide for yourself where in the description you want your files!
We've improved our white-labelling options by enabling users to add a favicon that will display in the browser tab and a small logo that will be shown in emails.
If you're on a Pro plan or above you now have the option to upload a favicon and small logo. The favicon will show in your browser's tab bar while the small logo will be showing up in email notifications.
This effectively means that you will be able to completely white-label your institution!
Today we are happy to announce a new feature on Eduflow ✨ The new course completion feature lets instructors pick one or more activities that need to be completed in order for the course to complete for learners. Learners will receive a badge on the course on their course overview page ✅.
Make the social learning experience more personal with our newest feature: profile images! You can now upload a profile image to your account that will be shown instead of the user badge.
To add a profile image, visit your user settings by clicking your initials in the top right corner ➜ User settings. Scroll down to the profile image section and click upload image. Easy peasy!
Today, we are happy to announce that instructors on Eduflow now are able to download all reviews and reflections directly from the results interface 🎉
We hope you are happy with this latest addition to Eduflow 👩💻
